The Festo DAPS Series is a line of quarter turn actuators with lever-rocker kinematics is specially designed to meet the requirements of the process industry. The torque is generated via a scotch yoke mechanism, which helps to overcome the valve's high breakaway torques. Given their graduated torques, the quarter turn actuators DAPS are predominantly used to control valves through which various media flow and whose rotation angle is limited to 90°, e.g. ball valves and butterfly valves. Selected types conform to the ATEX directive for potentially explosive atmospheres.
