The Festo DSL Series Swivel/linear Unit combines a swivel unit and linear cylinder, allowing for separate or simultaneous movements. This makes it ideal for screw-in movement in food and packaging applications. Each unit has a 270° swivel angle that can be infinitely and accurately set and provides compact sensing of the swivel motion via proximity switches SME/SMT-10. Two types of cushioning are available, elastic cushioning or hydraulic shock absorber, and both include a metal fixed stop. The mechanical gearing between the stop element and the swivel module prevents movement of the stop system under load. They are available with 16 to 40mm piston diameters with standard or hollow piston rod types, and up to 200mm stroke.
