The Festo ELGE Series Toothed Belt Axis Unit is part of the simplified motion series and offers smooth running behavior for simple movement and positioning tasks. These integrated actuators are the perfect solution when looking for facilities that want an electric alternative for very simple movement tasks but don't want the complex commissioning process of traditional electric drive systems. It features built-in end-position sensing and includes two control types as a standard: digital I/O (DIO) and IO-Link. The ELGE series operates on a plug-and-work principle and does not require an external servo drive or control cabinet for installation.
