The Festo HGDD Series Three-point Gripper uses a wedge mechanism with force-guided motion to translate the linear force into synchronized gripper jaw movement, with a virtually backlash-free plain-bearing guide. It can be used as a double-acting or single-acting gripper, with a compression spring for supplementing or retaining the gripping forces. The gripper is suitable for both external and internal gripping, and can be used in harsh ambient conditions.
