The Festo HGPD Series Parallel Gripper is available in sizes ranging from 16 to 80 mm, and features fully encapsulated kinematics that allow operation in extreme conditions. They can function as both double-acting and single-acting grippers, with compression springs to supplement or retain gripping forces.

The grippers use a wedge mechanism with force-guided motion to translate linear force into synchronized gripper jaw movement. They offer virtually backlash-free operation thanks to ground-in gripper jaws with plain-bearing guides. The HGPD series is suitable for both external and internal gripping tasks.

These grippers provide flexible mounting and air supply options, including direct front or bottom connections and adapter plate mounting. They can be used in humid environments or with liquid/gaseous media when properly configured. The grippers offer high precision, with repetition accuracy ranging from ≤0.03 to ≤0.05 mm depending on size.
