Description
The Moxa EDR-810 Series Secure Multiport Router is an industrial-grade router with a router/bridge firewall, network address translation, optional VPN, and managed Layer 2 switch functions. This unit is built for security applications run on Ethernet connections, creating an additional layer of Marine-grade cybersecurity protection of critical cyber assets such as pump-and-treat systems in water stations, DCS systems in oil and gas industries, and PLC/SCADA systems in automation.
The firewall protocols of the EDR-810 manage network traffic through different trust zones, and Network Address Translation protects the internal LAN from unauthorized activity from external hosts. The optional VPN feature creates secure remote communication tunnels via IPsec (IP Security). This permits confidential, authenticated access to a secure network via a public internet connection.
The EDR-810 includes a WAN Routing Quick Setting which provides easy setup of WAN and LAN ports for routing in less than four steps. Utilizing the unit's Quick Automation Profile allows the user to configure firewall settings with automation protocols including Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, EtherCAT, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, and PROFINET. Creation of a secure Ethernet network is a single-click undertaking via an easy-to-navigate user interface.
The EDR-810 has a default operating temperature range of -10 to 60°C, with an optional configuration for -40 to 75°C. Paired with shock, freefall and vibration protections, this makes the EDR-810 a reliable choice in volatile environments. SFP modules are sold separately.
