The EDS-508A 8-Port Managed Ethernet Switch is designed for industrial-level applications, with eight 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet ports with RJ45 connectors, 2 alarm relay output and 2 digital input channels. A port configuration of 6x 10/100BaseT(X) with RJ45 connectors and 2x 100BaseFX with multi-mode SC connectors is also available. Integrated network redundancy technology such as Turbo Ring, Turbo Chain, and STP/MSTP/RSTP ensure a recovery time of less than 20ms. Each unit is built out with additional useful management functions such as IGMP snooping, IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, port-based VLAN, QoS, RMON, bandwidth management, port mirroring, and warning by email or relay. The metal housing has an IP30 rating, a -10 to 60°C operating temperature range, and includes ATEX, Railway, NEMA TS2, and DNV maritime certifications.
