The Moxa EDS-510E Series 10-Port Managed Ethernet Switch is designed for mission-critical applications including factory automation, ITS and process control. The Ethernet interface includes seven 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet ports, and three Combo ports(10/100/1000BaseT(X) or 100/1000BaseSFP+), for increased flexibility in building up a Gigabit redundant Turbo Ring and Gigabit uplink. Additional network redundancy technology includes STP/MSTP/RSTP protocols. SFP modules sold separately (see Accessories tab).

EDS-510E management functions include IGMP snooping, IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, port-based VLAN, QoS, RMON, bandwidth management, port mirroring, and warning by email or relay. Network security standards of the EDS-510E are based upon IEC 62443, and include protocols such as RADIUS, TACACS+, SNMPv3, IEEE 802.1x, HTTPS, SSH, and sticky MAC address.

The integrated switches feature a USB interface for switch configuration, system file backup, and firmware upgrades. The metal housing has an IP30 rating, -10 to 60°C or -40 to 75°C operating temperature ranges. Certifications include ATEX, Railway, NEMA TS2, and DNV-GL.
