Description

The Moxa NPort 5200 Series Serial Device Server is  is designed for quick and user-friendly network enablement of serial devices. The compact size makes this unit suitable for connecting RS-232/422/485 serial devices—such as PLCs, meters, and sensors—to an IP-based Ethernet LAN,  direct access to serial devices from anywhere in a network. The NPort 5200 Series has standard TCP/IP protocols and choice of operation modes, Real COM/TTY drivers for existing software, and remote control of serial devices with TCP/IP or traditional COM/TTY Port.

NPort 5200 Series servers can operate in TCP Server/Client, or UDP operation mode, ensuring compatibility with software based on a standard network API (Winsock, BSD Sockets). Real COM/TTY drivers are provided with each unit, allowing for instant and seamless integration into a TCP/IP network, including legacy Windows or Linux operating systems.

All units are encased in compact metal housing with a standard operating temperature of 0 to 55°C, and meet DNV, CE, FCC, and cULus standards.
