Description
The Moxa NPort 5600 Series Serial Device Server centralizes the management of the user's serial devices and distributes management hosts over an Ethernet connection, with network readiness on up to 16 serial devices, depending on port configuration.
The NPort 5600 Series features a 19-inch, rackmount design, with Tx/Rx LEDs for the front panel serial ports, with 8 or 16 8-pin RJ45 port connections on the back panel. Real COM/TTY drivers are provided to make the unit compatible with Linux, Windows, and Windows MacOS based-systems. In addition to basic data transmission and reception support, the NPort 5600 Series also supports RTS, CTS, DTR, DSR, and DCD control signals.
The NPort 5650 model has DIP switches on the bottom panel for adjustable termination and pull high/low resistor values to prevent signal reflection in variable application environments. All units are encased in durable metal housing with a standard operating temperature of 0 to 60°C, and meet CE, FCC, and cULus standards.
