Description
The Moxa NPort 5600-DT Series Serial Device Server is a compact, desktop design built for streamlined connection of serial devices to an Ethernet network, permitting the user to connect existing serial devices with only basic configuration. This series of centralizes the management of the user's serial devices and distributes management hosts over an Ethernet connection, with network readiness on up to 8 serial devices.
The NPort 5600-DT Series have a smaller form factor, making them well suited to applications in need of additional serial ports, but for which DIN-rails are not available. DIP switches are integrated for adjustable termination and pull high/low resistor values to prevent signal reflection in variable application environments.
This server series supports both power terminal blocks and power jacks for ease of use and greater flexibility. Users can connect the terminal block directly to a DC power source, or use the power jack to connect to an AC circuit through an adapter. The integrated LEDs not only indicate current system and network status, but also aid in monitoring the status of attached serial devices. Two Ethernet ports are inbuilt that can be used to enable cascading device configurations. All NPort 5600-DT Series servers are encased in durable metal housing with a standard operating temperature of 0 to 55°C, and meet CE, FCC, and cULus standards.
