Description
Moxa NPort 6100/6200 Series Secure Serial Device Server use TLS and SSH protocols to transmit encrypted serial data over Ethernet. This series comes with up to 2 RS-232/422/485 standard compliant ports, with the interface selected from an easy-to-access configuration menu.
If the Ethernet connection fails, the NPort 6250 will queue all serial data in its internal 64 KB port buffer. When the Ethernet connection is re-established, the stored data is immediately released in the order that it was received. Users can increase this buffer size via the SD card slot.
IEC 62443 compliant security standards guarantee secure data transmission, with encryption via TLS and SSH protocols. These protocols work by encrypting data before sending it over the network. These features help establish reliability by providing users with secure serial-to-Ethernet data transmission and a customer oriented hardware design. Each 6100/6200 Series unit has a durable metal housing with a standard operating temperature of 0 to 55°C, and meet CE, FCC, cULus and NEMA TS2 standards.
