Description

Moxa NPort 6650-16 Secure Serial Device Server use TLS and SSH protocols to transmit encrypted serial data over Ethernet. This series comes with up to 16 RS-232/422/485 standard compliant ports, with independent configuration on each one. This series is well suited for applications that use large numbers of serial devices packed into a small space, whilst also ensuring data transmission integrity with support for AES encryption algorithm.

If the Ethernet connection fails, the NPort 6650-16 will queue all serial data in its internal 64 KB port buffer. When the Ethernet connection is re-established, the stored data is immediately released in the order that it was received. Users can increase this buffer size via the SD card slot.

Each unit has a standard inbuilt LCD panel. This panel displays the server name, serial number, and IP address, as well as any configured parameters for quick and easy updating. The NPort 6650-16 also allows manual adjustment of the resistor values for each serial port using built-in DIP switches, to best protect the electrical signal integrity in various environments. Each unit has a durable metal housing with a standard operating temperature of 0 to 55°C, and meet CE, FCC, cULus and NEMA TS2 standards.
