The Festo SFL Series Air Barrier is used for non-contact sensing of objects. The barrier can act as a sender nozzle, receiver nozzle, and gap sensor, and operates reliably even in dirty environments and at high ambient temperatures. The SFL is also insensitive to mechanical influences and sound waves, and functions in complete darkness and when sensing translucent objects.
