Description
The Festo ELGD-TB Series Toothed Belt Axis has innovative guidance technology and powerful drive elements for applications requiring a high dynamic response and short positioning. This unit has a repetition accuracy of ±0.04mm and offers speeds up to 3m/s. A stainless steel cover strip protects the unit and allows magnetic belt reversal without rubbing components on the outside. This also reduces the penetration of dirt in difficult ambient conditions and minimizes particle emissions in cleanrooms. It is available in two profile variants with up to 2850mm maximum stroke and slide variants for extended and additional slides.
The standard ELGD-TB has a square profile cross-section and sturdy drive elements for handling high feed forces. It features powerful drive elements that provide high feed forces and acceleration for shorter process times and longer service life. The innovative guide technology has excellent rigidity and load capacity and offers less vibration and smoother slide movement to protect sensitive workpieces.
The Festo ELGD-BS-WD wide design is 30% lighter and features a reduced profile height that offers smaller installation dimensions for handling systems and other applications that don't require high feed forces. This compact design offers rigidity and guide load capacity that is still similar to the axis in the standard design.
