Description

The SICK W2 Series Photoelectric Sensor design is notable for its miniature, IP67-rated housing in slim, or flat designs, making it ideal for delivering precise data, in highly compact installation sites. This excellent size-to-sensing ratio enables detection of even deep black objects with a reflection factor of 1%. Available in proximity, retroreflective and through-beam sensor configurations, the W2 Series offers adjustment methods via potentiometer, cable, or teach-in button (not available with though-beam models).

The optional IO-Link interface further increases the versatility of this product family. The W2 Series utilizes an LED positioning indicator, with visible blue, red, or infrared light types, depending on variant. Sensing ranges are extensive, with a max range of 0 to 2.5m (with through-beam models only). Output options include NPN, or PNP, with light, dark, or light/dark switching.
