Description

The SICK RAY26 Reflex Array Series Photoelectric Sensor is a retro-reflective sensor designed to detect small, flat, uneven objects, including in fast commissioning applications. This includes detection of objects as small as 1mm up to 10mm. A detection height as low as 10mm and up to 55mm-depending on model-allows for reliable isolation of the object's leading edge, permitting accurate use on even perforated surfaces. Each model can toggle between light and dark switching modes. Thanks to autocollimation and coaxial optics, there is no reflector distance minimum, permitting sensing ranges starting at 0m and going up to 4.5m. Each unit utilizes a PinPoint LED light source with visible red light. Through gradual deactivation of the detection zone directly above the conveyor belt, this sensor eliminates the interference of a conveyor belt, increasing overall accuracy.

Alignment of the RAY26 Series is a fast and easy process thanks to the highly visible light band, with sensitivity readily adjusted after that via the teach-in pushbutton. Blue LEDs indicate the contamination status of the sensor and reflector. Sick's AutoAdapt technology, along with the quick communication of maintenance signals via the integrated IO-Link, help technicians to plan ahead and reduce system downtime.
