Description

The SICK RAY10 Reflex Array Series Photoelectric Sensor is a retro-reflective sensor designed to detect small, flat, uneven objects, including in fast commissioning applications. This includes detection of objects as small as 5mm, and a detection height of 25mm. The sensor isolates the object's leading edge, permitting accurate use on even perforated surfaces. Models come with light, dark, or light/dark switching modes. Thanks to autocollimation and coaxial optics, there is no reflector distance minimum, permitting a sensing range starting at 0m, up to 1.5m. Each unit utilizes a PinPoint LED light source with visible red light.

Alignment of the RAY10 Series is a fast and easy process thanks to the highly visible light band, with sensitivity readily adjusted after that via potentiometer. Blue LEDs indicate the contamination status of the sensor and reflector. Sick's AutoAdapt technology, along with the quick communication of maintenance signals via the integrated IO-Link, help technicians to plan ahead and reduce system downtime.
