The SICK ZoneControl Series Photoelectric Sensor is available in retro-reflective or proximity sensor configurations, managing the flow of products on a conveyer system without an external controller. This application solution operates on zero pressure accumulation, or ZPA. Each ZoneControl Series sensor has single feed-with or without sleep function-and block feed startup logic available. Sensors operates with an LED light source, with visible red or infrared light types. Sensing range minimums are as low as 60mm, and can reach a maximum of 1500mm, depending on sensor type. Light, dark, and light/dark switching modes are available with, NPN, PNP, NPN/PNP, or FET outputs. 

All models are a plug-and-play design, with ZoneControl split into three subfamilies depending on mounting needs of the application: between the rollers (R/IR), side frame (ZLM), and above the belt (WLR). Connecting the ZoneControl in series (up to 50), and connecting to the respective pneumatic line or motor-driven rollers cuts out PLC and cabling requirements for installation and control. Each sensor is enclosed in durable plastic housing, with NEMA 3 and variable ingress protection ratings, depending on configuration.
