Description

The SICK EventCam Series Photoelectric Sensor documents periods of time immediately before, or after a preconfigured signal is triggered during a machine's process. When the EventCam's smart sensor flags an incorrect pattern, it is triggered to photograph said pattern for review. In the event of a protective field violation, or the machine being monitored stopping suddenly and repeatedly, the EventCam begins to record. The camera integrates with the sensor for a streamlined design, with direct transmission of data via FTP to a server through a 10/100Mbit wired connection. Local data storage is also available in the camera's internal memory.

The quick and efficient transmission of imagery around an event increases the speed of diagnosis of system errors without the need for continuous in-person monitoring, increasing overall safety in application environments. The EventCam is well suited to identifying pain points in existing processes or outfitting entirely new production facilities for the most ideal configuration.
