Description

The SICK IMR Series Inductive Proximity Sensor are highly resistant to magnetic interference fields, thanks to the design excluding a ferrite core. This design also allows for high electromagnetic compatibility. Duroplast housing with PTFE non-stick coating means the IMR Series is also protected from flying sparks and weld spatter, ensuring operational safety. Each model is designed to operate on the reduction factor 1 principle, and therefore can detect all metals in up to a 75mm range. These extended ranges reduce the likelihood of mechanical damage, reducing system downtime and need for replacements. The cylindrical design with high switching frequencies ensures a fast and efficient system. The versatile operating temperature range of  –30 to 85°C further increase this product family's adaptability to various welding applications.

Applications

• Monitoring of clamping devices in welding processes
• Presence monitoring in welding processes
• Positioning of skid conveyors
• Presence monitoring for sheet metal in punching processes
• Presence monitoring in material feed units (lathes, etc)
