Description

The SICK IMM Series Inductive Proximity Sensor is a highly compact design with a housing diameter of as little as 3mm, which is paired with the high technology of SICK's patented ASIC circuit chip. This circuit permits extremely precise switching points and repeatability of results. The IMM Series also includes a three-fold sensing range design, up to 6 mm, which allows object detection from an extended distance.

The IMM Series integrates an IO-Link interface, permitting faster and easier installation, as well as remote monitoring and data collection. The durable V2A SS enclosure is rated for -25 to 70°C temperature ranges, ensuring the sensor is well protected.

Applications

• Handling, assembly processes: positioning
• Supply processes: detecting tiny components, counting
• Small waves: speed monitoring, direction of movement detection
• Gripper: position detection (gripper open or closed)
• Linear or rotating gripper: positioning
• CNC workpiece changer and spindles: position detection
