The SICK IMN Series Proximity Sensor is specifically designed for use in explosive zones, certified for ATEX device categories 1G and 2G for zones 0 and 1. These sensors are available in four metric thread sizes: M8, M12, M18, and M30, with housing diameters ranging from 8mm to 30mm depending on the model.

Each size category offers different sensing capabilities: The M8 model provides a 1mm sensing range in flush mounting, the M12 offers 2mm (flush) and 4mm (non-flush) options, the M18 provides 5mm (flush) and 8mm (non-flush) ranges, and the M30 delivers 10mm (flush) and 15mm (non-flush) sensing ranges. All models feature a 2-wire, 2-meter cable connection type.
