Description
The SICK OLS Series Contrast Sensor reliably detects luminescent adhesive tape and outputs the deviation from the center of the lane, with the ability to read as many as three lanes. This design offers ± 1mm measurement accuracy, regardless of ambient light, base material color, contamination, or surface defects. The large reading field of 180 mm allows the sensor to detect and navigate curved trajectories, with turn radii as small as .5m. Communication interfaces for the OLS sensors include an IO-Link, and either a CANopen, or RS-485 Modbus interface. The OLS Series can read 1D barcodes, enabling transmission of route data and drive commands.
