Description

The SICK Dx1000 Series Laser Distance Sensor offers an extensive measuring ranges, with up to 460m on natural objects, and up to 1500m for reflectors. The DT1000 variants utilize a non-contact measurement principle on natural objects, permitting distance measuring on materials such as hot steel slabs. The DL1000 configurations is built for extensive distances with reflective materials, its 1500m max range suited for "diamond-grade" reflective tape. The HDDM technology of the Dx1000 Series includes multi-echo technology for the suppression of undesirable reflections, ensuring accurate, reliable results.

This Dx1000 sensor is housed in a durable, IP65/67-rated aluminum alloy enclosure with corrosion resistance, with an easy to navigate touch display, SOPAS ET user interface and red alignment laser. This product family is configurable with serial, Ethernet, and fieldbus interfaces for integration with various application systems. Variants include a 4 to 20mA analog current output, and push-pull NPN/PNP digital output. Ambient operating temperatures range from –40 to 55°C, with extended ranges up to 95°C available with a cooling case (contact Motion World engineer for more details).
