The SICK L41 Series Safety Scanner is a single-beam photoelectric safety switch consisting of a sender and a receiver. Sender and receiver units are available and come in M18 or M30 diameter sizes. They have a radial or axial optical axis and have a 7 to 84m maximum scanning range. The L41 series may be used in applications with challenging ambient conditions and can be used with deflector mirrors for complex protection tasks.

The sender unit features a test input that supports direct functional testing. Performance level PL e to EN ISO 13849 or Type 4 to IEC 61496 can be achieved when used in conjunction with an evaluation unit. Suitable evaluation units include Flexi Classic or Flexi Soft.
