Description
The SICK deTem Series Safety Scanner is a light-beam safety sensor designed for access protection with intelligent human-material differentiation in automated material flows. They can monitor access to a hazardous area that people enter regularly, but not frequently. These units feature compact housing and are available with scanning ranges up to 90m. It features NFC and IO-Link interfaces, which offer remote and on-site error diagnosis. The deTem series allows flexible and efficient protection of single- and multi-sided access means to hazardous areas.
The deTem series is offered with Flexible 2- or 4-signal muting, Pre-configured complete muting kit, and simple 2-signal muting versions. This allows the sensors to differentiate between a person and product materials and prevent the machine from stopping unnecessarily. With the deTem4 A/P and DMM4 muting module, the muting parameters can be freely configured by using the Safety Designer software. The deTem4 LT Muting A/P offers a plug-and-play kit for plants with pallet conveyor systems. (The kit includes pre-installed and aligned muting sensors.) The deTem4 A/P, when combined with the SP2 system plug and muting connector, allows for economical X or L muting.
