The SICK M4000 Standard Series Safety Scanner is a multiple light beam safety device that offers one-sided or multi-sided access protection for automated systems. The M4000 is available as separate sender or receiver units or as a set. This series has a 70m scanning range and can be configured with 2 to 8 light beams. The separation between the beams is between 220 and 600mm depending on the model. The M4000 standard series is a robust unit designed to withstand environmental changes and ensure high machine availability, even under special ambient conditions.

The functions are straightforward and set with the configuration keys located directly on the device. The integrated functions and status indicators allow quick commissioning and minimize machine downtime. Status indicators include a LED indicator with 360° visibility and diagnostics displays. These units also include mounting grooves on three housing sides, which enables increased flexibility during mounting and simplified machine integration.
