Description

The SICK SPEETEC 1D Series Non-contact Motion Sensor uses laser Doppler effect-based technology to measure object speed, length, movement direction, and position on almost any surface. The sensor’s non-contact measurement method makes it particularly suitable for applications with soft or sensitive surfaces that would be damaged by tactile measurement. The SPEETEC 1D is offered with a 12 to 32V TTL or HTL communication interface and optional parameterization and diagnostic function.

The SPEETEC 1D series features optical sensors that prevent measured surfaces from being contaminated or damaged. This also allows the system to be slip-free and offer increased measurement accuracy. High measurement accuracy is also possible in applications with start-stop operation and at short measurement lengths.
