The Festo HSP Series Handling Module is designed for automatic transfer, feeding, and removal of small parts in confined spaces. These compact units combine semi-rotary drive and a slotted guide to perform complete pick & place cycles. They feature a force-guided vertical and horizontal motion sequence with a backlash-free cross guide for high precision and rigidity.

Available in three sizes (12, 16, and 25), the HSP modules offer Y-stroke lengths from 52 to 170 mm and Z-stroke lengths from 20 to 70 mm. They can handle payloads up to 1.6 kg with repetition accuracy at end positions of ±0.02 mm or better. The modules achieve extremely short cycle times, with minimum cycle times ranging from 0.6 to 1.0 seconds depending on the size.

The HSP series comes in three drive variants: pneumatic with semi-rotary drive DSM, pneumatic with drive shaft, and options for servo motor combinations. They operate on compressed air at 4-8 bar pressure.
