Description
The Festo MSE6 Series Energy Efficiency Module is an intelligent air preparation unit for optimizing the use of compressed air as an energy medium in industrial automation technology. The MSE6 available in three versions:
The MSE6-C2M monitors consumption, regulates and shuts off the compressed air when production is inactive, and ensures a soft restart because the pressure does not fall below a specific level. It has a parameterizable slew rate limit for setpoint pressure. It includes 2 digital inputs and 2 digital outputs, and Fieldbus connection PROFINET IO via integrated fieldbus node, EtherNet/IP via integrated fieldbus node or EtherCAT via integrated fieldbus node.
The MSE-D2M monitors the compressed air consumption and shuts off the compressed air supply after production has stopped for a certain amount of time. Automatic shut-off occurs if the flow rate falls below the limit value for an extended period of time. It shuts off and pressurizes as controlled by the user, and supports Profinet IO, EtherNet/IP or EtherCAT fieldbus connection via the fieldbus node of the MSE6-C2M or CPX terminal controlled by the CPX extension. CPX extension interface row 2 supports a connection to an MSE6-C2M or to a CPX terminal with CPX extension interface row 1.
