Description

The Festo ELGD-BS Series Ball Screw Spindle Axis is designed to handle high loads and perform a wide range of tasks in electromechanical automation technology. This unit features an internal double-sided recirculating ball bearing guide that offers high rigidity, high resilience, and an almost vibration-free slide movement over the entire stroke range. A stainless steel cover strip protects the unit and allows magnetic belt reversal without rubbing components on the outside. This also reduces the penetration of dirt in difficult ambient conditions and minimizes particle emissions in cleanrooms. It is available in three sizes with up to 2,000mm stroke, and slide variants for extended and additional slides.

The Festo ELGD-BS-WD wide design is also available. This version is 30% lighter and features a reduced profile height that offers smaller installation dimensions for handling systems and other applications that don't require high feed forces. This compact design offers rigidity and guide load capacity that is still similar to the axis in the standard design.
