Description

The SICK W45 Series Photoelectric Sensor is a sensor family including proximity, retro-reflective, and through-beam sensors. This operates either with infrared or visible red light, depending on configuration. The W45 includes adjustable time delay settings for adaptability, light/dark switching, and either relay, NPN or PNP outputs.

The W45 can be configured with front lens heating, preventing condensation and frost in outdoor use cases. Supply voltage compatibility for DC and AC/DC power is available. Select configurations are designed for detection of high temperature objects such as glowing steel, which involves temperatures over 800°C. Each model includes durable metal housing with either an IP65/67 rating, built to withstand harsh application environments, with a max sensing distance up to 350m (with through-beam models).
