The SICK IMI Series Inductive Proximity Sensor product family features completely closed housing constructed of stainless steel, with an IP68 and IP69K rating. This makes the IMI Series suitable for use with machine tools utilized in applications with mechanical and chemical loads, including quick temperature changes (–25 to 85°C operating range), cleaning with aggressive mediums, and exposure to cooling lubricants. Variants built with V2A stainless steel are certified food safe, where V4A steel models are approved for hygienic and wet area environments. The integrated IO-Link interface and visual indicator offer versatile adjustability. The three-fold sensing range (up to 40mm), permits large operating reserves.
