Description

The SICK AS30 Series Array Sensor operates on proximity scanning, with a wide field of view of up to 165mm. This method of detection is based on slight variances in grayscale values up to 250mm from the sensor itself. Teach-in of edge positions or areas is easily done via the full color TFT display, or the SOPAS ET configuration software. Measurements such as widths, diameters and gaps are easily accounted for with these highly adjustable sensor parameters, with repeatability within 0.03mm (dependent on measuring distance). In models also integrating reflector mode, detection of transparent materials is also possible. Thanks to the AS30's smart sensor design, extensive switching outputs and external inputs can be logically linked to adapt to application uses across a wide range of industries, such as printing, electronics, packaging, solar, robotics and machine construction.
